Bacterial cells have no internal compartments or membrane systems.

- bacteria cells are about 1um in diameter. Eukaryotic cells are more than 10times that size.

- all bacteria are single cells.

- bacterial chromosomes=single circular pierce of DNA. eukaryotic chromosomes=linear pieces of DNA

- bacteria reproduces in which one cell pinches into two cells; in eukaryotes, microtubes pull chromosomes to opposites poles of the cell during mitosis then the cytoplasm of the eukaryotic cell divides in half, forming two cells.

- bacteria are simple structures composed of a single fiber of protein. Eukaryotic flagella are more complex.

- B=metalic abilities that eukaryotes lack.

***************************************************************************

Gram staining is important in medicine because the two groups of bacteria differ in their susceptibility to different antibiotics.

Conjugation ~ is a process in which two organisms exchange genetic material.

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264882485186101714" style="FLOAT: left; The camas grows in plain fields, mainly dry lands.

Types of rock and soil found there and how the rocks were formed? basalt rocks were found. the rocks combined together to make bigger rocks.

Type of climate and precipitation. (Why is it so dry?) The area the camas is in does not get a lot of rain, plus the roots to the camas are very high to the ground which makes it so they can grow as big.

Types of elements and minerals commonly found in the rocks? basalt.

Pictures or diagram of the energy cycle in that biome (see biology text for help)

How the plant is harvested explain why the root digger is needed (what gets in the way?) the digger is needed so you don't break the roots that is connected to the camas. that is why you have to stick the digger AROUND the camas in order to get it out of the ground.

A drawing of a root digger with labels explaining (type of machine, how it works, what is it's

mechanical advantage, how does it work on the soil, rocks and plants? the pointy end of the digger helps get out the camas easier. it will not break the plants.
